Conversion Notes
This section shows additional information of the conversion.
  • Scanned (Image) PDF

If the PDF came from a scanner or photocopier, you have a Scanned PDF (or Image PDF). The program automatically converts the Scanned (Image) PDF files into DWG/DXF files that can be edited in the CAD program.

Sometimes high resolution PDF files look like vector PDF files, but they are not. Please open the PDF file in Adobe Reader and zoom in to maximum to check the sharpness of the PDF file. If the lines remain clear, it is a Vector PDF. If the lines remain blurry, it is a Scanned (Image) PDF.

  • Scale

The program allows conversion of scale measurement to 1:1 and the converted drawing kept the scale information in the PDF. But the page size of the PDF is fixed and the PDF file does not have the scale information of the original drawing. You can adjust the scale by using the Scale Factor option and you can also manually adjust the scale in the CAD.

  • Text

Any text in the PDF file can be converted to the DWG/DXF file, but some texts in a PDF may be vectors or polylines.

  • Mask Layer

Since a few of PDF files may contain mask layers and it will be recreated in the DWG/DXF files, you will need to delete the mask layers in the CAD manually.
